Panthers Trying to Bounce Back After First Loss of Season

After the Barnsdall Panthers suffered a 60-12 loss at Pawhuska last week, Panther head coach Kylee Sweeney is preaching to his team that one game doesn't define a season.

Barnsdall entered the Osage County showdown at 4-0 before suffering the 48-point loss to Pawhuska. The Panthers trailed 38-6 at halftime, but Sweeney was quick to say that had Barnsdall not squandered early opportunities, it could have been a different contest.

The Panthers were in the redzone on six different occasions. Sweeney said they scored twice. Sweeney looks forward to seeing his team correct some of the mistakes they made Friday night.

Barnsdall is playing Owasso's JV Thursday evening in a non district game. Sweeney is treating this like any other game, though.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
