We have only a couple Northeast Oklahoma high school football teams still kicking in the postseason, as week three of the playoff is upcoming throughout the state this weekend. If you missed the action from this past Friday night…

Pawhuska took care of Colcord with ease in the second round of Class A at Ormond Beach Stadium. The Huskies beat the Hornets, 53-29.

The game was over at halftime. Pawhuska played all of its second and third string players in the second half. Todd Drummond threw an early interception and the Huskies were down 8-0, but they would quickly bounce back from the adversity. It has been nine straight wins for Pawhuska since the middle of September.

Head coach Matt Hennesy has continued to preach that at this point of the season, winning is all that matters.

Next up for Pawhuska, a long road trip. The Huskies will have to travel to Elmore City for the Class A Quarterfinals. Elmore City is 10-1 and is coming off a 30-8 win over Burns-Flat.

Winner on Friday night will move on to the semis. A 7:00 kick on 99.1 FM – KPGM. And KPGMTV.com.

Wesleyan Christian School had its magical season come to an end. The Mustangs lost on the road at Mt. View-Gotebo, 70-19.

WCS scored three first-half touchdown against a Tiger club that was only allowing six-points per game entering the contest. The Mustangs end their season at 8-4.

Also on Friday: Woodland beat Gore 20-19. Woodland is at home in the Class A quarters against Cashion this weekend.

In 5A, Collinsville blew out Bishop McGuinness, 56-35. Cardinals take on Carl Albert on Friday in the semis.
