Pawhuska Gets Over Cashion Hurdle

Pawhuska had game number two on week one. The Huskies hosted the two time defending Class A champions Cashion Wildcats.

The Wildcats were dominate in the first quarter. Jumping out to a 13-0 lead. Forcing two turnovers early and looked to have the Huskies rattled.

Here’s what Pawhuska Head Coach Matt Hennesy had to say about the first quarter. PAW55

But not so fast my friend as Pawhuska got things rolling and scoring 34 straight as Pawhuska used the ground game to open the game up.

The Wildcats wouldn’t go down without a fight scoring 16 straight and making it a 34-29 game before Freshman Randee Goodeagle gave PHS great field position on a kickoff return and then marched behind a dominate offensive line for the game sealing touchdown.

Huskies win knock off Cashion 40-29.

Pawhuska is 2-0 on the year, the Bucks beat Pawhuska in the regular season matchup a year ago.  However, the Huskies had the last laugh when they beat the Bucks in the playoffs.
