Pawhuska stays at home this week when they host the Cashion Wildcats. Cashion has won the last two Class A state championships defeating the huskies in the state semifinals both years.

Both teams played on Zero Week last week. Cashion lost to Rejoice Christian 49-13.

Pawhuska head coach Matt Hennesy says no reminder needed for this week’s opponent.

Cashion’s is 30-2 since 2020 with both of their losses coming against Rejoice Christian.

Pawhuska on the other hand, won in their opener against Caney Valley 52-7. The Huskies went 5-7 on two-point conversions in the game and senior quarterback Todd Drummond had five total touchdowns.

Coach Hennesy on his thoughts of the game and what they need to work on.

A Pawhuska win would make it Cashion’s first 0-2 start to a season since 2011.
