Class A football runs through Osage County according to the Tulsa World’s most recent high school football rankings update. Pawhuska moves up one spot to No. 6 while Barnsdall moves in to the polls at No. 10. Both teams are 3-0 after convincing victories last Friday.

The Huskies offense is currently averaging 60 points per game thus far. Pawhuska head coach Matt Hennesy says the team has seen great support early on.

Pawhuska will have its biggest challenge coming up with a road trip to Morrison, a team that was not ranked in the polls.

The Panthers have a challenge as well as they host Hominy in their Class A District 5 home opener. If both teams pass those tests it is possible that they could each be 4-0 when the two teams clash at Ormond Beach Stadium on Sept 27.
