Spring Sports Up in the Air in Oklahoma

 

It is spring break in most spots across the state, and for the time being as far as high school sports are concerned, it has bought Oklahoma some time to figure out what the next move will be with athletics dealing with the COVID-19 virus.

The last information from the OSSAA on the matter was about the postponement of the State Basketball Tournaments that were scheduled to take place this past weekend. The state tournaments have not been canceled at this time.

As far as individual sporting events going forward, the OSSAA is still leaving that up to individual school districts. Almost all school districts across the area were still going forward with spring sports prior to Spring Break.

We will have updates on what, if anything, changes on that front over the next several days.

The state of Kansas and the KSHSAA has put a hold on spring sports for the next week. Many school districts are taking the week off of school as well – more on the news side there at BartlesvilleRadio.com.
