Trojans to Get Creative Against Top Opponents

The Caney Valley Trojans are trying to pull out all the tricks. The Trojans are in the midst of an 11-game losing streak with two of the most daunting opponents in Class 2A on the docket in the next two weeks. First up, it’s Beggs who fell in the 2A finals last year to next week’s opponent, Sperry. Trojans head coach Stephen Mitchell won’t be afraid to put together a creative gameplan.

Despite the lack of results Mitchell is still encouraged by the effort of his young team. 2A-3 has proved to be a challenging district for CV as the Trojans have not won a game since re-districting last occurred prior to the 2018 season. The Demons are 3-1 on the year and a consensus top 10 team in the rankings. Kickoff from Ramona is set for 7 p.m. on Friday.
