Wesleyan Christian Eyes District Title

Wesleyan Christian School football is coming off a forfeit victory this past weekend, as the Mustangs are looking to lock up a No. 1 seed in the Class C playoffs with wins the next two weeks.

South Coffeyville was unable to play their game against WCS this past Friday because the Lions lacked enough players to give it a go. Wesleyan head coach Curt Cloud said his team found out on Thursday afternoon.

Although it was disappointing to not play, Cloud says his team still got some work in with a practice on Friday night.

Victories over Watts at home this Friday, then at Coyle the week following would ensure a couple home games for the Mustangs in the first two rounds of the postseason. It would also give Wesleyan its first ever District title.
